Super Composite Skin

“SCS (Super Composite Skin)” is the processing for the surface of “Smooth Skin.” By applying micellar structure processing with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties on the surface, it will the surface with water molecules when the surface is wet. This will reduce the resistance during put on and take off, and also water resistance. Some world’s top free divers achieve new record by wearing wetsuits with SCS processing.

“SCS (Super Composite Skin)” is the processing for the surface of “Smooth Skin.” By applying micellar structure processing with both hydrophilic and hydrophobic properties, it coats the surface with water molecules when the surface is wet. This leads to reducing the resistance when putting on and taking off, and alleviates water resistance. A number of the world’s top free divers wearing wetsuits with SCS processing on the outside have set new records.

I am in love with my new wetsuit made of Yamamoto SCS neoprene! The neoprene's softness and flexibility make the suit extremely comfortable. As the president of DiveWise, safety is important to me, which is why I welcome the warmth, buoyancy, and protection my Yamamoto wetsuit offers. Its comfort and practicality come with absolutely no compromise on design or style. With all the options Yamamoto offers, I was able to tailor a performance, feel, and look that was perfect for me. Thank you, Yamamoto!
