This material had been widely adopted for swimsuits which had led a number of swimmers getting on the winners’ podium at international competitions. However, the rule for swimming competition had been revised and usage of rubber for competition swimsuits was banned then. Therefore, this material is mainly used in triathlons and for open water swimming now. Many divers use wear swimsuit made with BRS, especially at free diving competitions. It uses ultra-thin rubber material and has much better heat-retention properties than normal swimsuits, so it is also widely used as swimwear for swimming practice. In addition, this also used in outdoor and workwear parts and in the fashion industry.
